New storage tips
You can build your own portable 1/28 track for XMODS, Mini-Z, Iwaver, or other micro cars. These RC car track designs are durable and very professional looking. They set up very quickly and easily and store in a small area. Our XMODS and XMODS EVO (Evolution) cars run great on our tracks in Standard, Medium and Wide versions. When you build your own RC car tracks you can configure them any way you want and keep adding on. Building your own track is much, much cheaper than buying them. We love the tracks we have built and you will too.

Standard Width Track: Build this Standard Width Figure 8, Oval, Road Course combo in about 2 hours for less than $60.00 using very basic hand tools. Similar tracks sell used on eBay for over $130.00 plus shipping. Other sellers have charged over $180 plus shipping for a similar new track. You can save $100 off the cost of new for about 2 hours of labor. This track features 20” wide lanes (between the inside of the walls). This is wide enough for your XMODS and Mini-Z cars to race on and yet small enough to set up in a small space. Add on for elaborate technical layouts or custom build your track to fit small, odd shaped areas.

Medium Width Track: Build this Medium Width L Shaped track to run your XMODS, Mini-Z or larger 1/18th scale cars. At 33 inches between the walls, it offers a lot of racing room while still keeping the track small enough to set up inside. Track shown fits in a 12’ x 14’ space and can be built for approximately $110.00 in around 3 hours. Of course you can build many variations and make anything from a short oval to a large horseshoe shape to just about anything you can dream up. You can make a 10 foot oval for around $55.00 if you want to keep it simple and low cost. That’s what’s nice about building your own – YOU decide. |

Wide Width Track: You can build this Wide Lane RC car track if you need more driving room for your larger 1/18 scale cars or if you just prefer to have plenty of room to run your XMODS wide open. Lane width is 44” – tons of room for passing and choosing different racing lines. Track shown fits in a 12’ x 12’ space and can be built in less than 3 hours for approximately $135.00 using very basic hand tools. Buying a similar track new can cost over $310. We call this track “Wide Open”. You can make a 12 foot Wide Lane Oval for less than $90 or keep adding on and make your track as elaborate as YOU wish.
